As a person who travels extensively for work throughout Our beautiful land I must say I rank A Place in Thyme way way up there. I booked in on the 29th of Jan only focused on work, when I left on the 2nd I was the most refreshed and happiest person I could be. I should've known from the first message I received from Linda a day before I was due to arrive that I would be met with blessings, I am truly in awe of my experience. Big Thyme, in fact, and in my opinion ranks extremely high world wide. I loved my stay...Big Thyme?

We spent a lovely two weeks at the cottage in January 2023. The cottage is kept beautifully and is well maintained. We spent a lot of time lazing in the pool area, and exploring Kalk Bay, Noordhoek and Simon's Town which are all a short drive away. Thank you for a great stay Linda.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the end of July. Cottages were neat, clean, warm and light with great amenities and we were able to have our family together in the 3 cottages. The views were fabulous and the situation is great with easy access to shops in Fishhoek. Thank you Linda, Leon and Fiona for making our stay pleasant. We highly recommend A Place in Thyme.

A Place in Thyme is a beautiful home with all the amenities you need. We even had our own personal pool and BBQ. We are a family of 5, and we found it spacious and the two full bathrooms are a great plus! There is a funicular that is fun to ride and nice to use if you have luggage or groceries. You get a great view of FishHoek and FalseBay with the mountains in the distance. Linda is a very friendly and attentive host who makes you feel welcome and at home and she is helpful and accommodating.

The cottage is a perfect breakaway spot with gorgeous views and lots of sunshine. Private pool and braai area. Situated high on the hillside it’s nice and quiet. Wifi was great for working away. Thanks Linda!

Wir waren schon das zweite Mal zu Gast bei Linda (Mach 2020, 4 Nächte und jetzt Feb. 2022, 6 Nächte) . Wunderschön an einem Bergrücken gelegen, mit Blick über Fishhoek und die Falsebay. Die Apartments, ruhig und gediegen, erreicht man entweder zu Fuß über die Außen-Treppe oder über eine Schrägaufzugs-Kabine (vor allem fürs Gepäck sehr praktisch). Der Sonnenaufgang täglich frei Haus ans Bett geliefert, wo gibt's das sonst noch? Wi-Fi, TV (Netflix), Küche voll ausgestattet. Sehr gute Lage für Ausflüge - rund ums Kap (viele weite Strandspaziergänge) oder - in die City von Kapstadt und Umgebung.

We stayed at A Place in Thyme with our family for 4 days and enjoyed our stay a lot! Very friendly and helpful host! Quite big space, neat and comfortable rooms, with all you need. Fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, wi-fi, TV, pool... Awesome view of the ocean and mountains. Peaceful and safe neighborhood. My favorite - your personal funicular to ride up the hill to the rooms. It is great place to stay, while visiting Cape Town, whether on your own or with your family and friends!

Easy communications via Whatts app and the apartment was beautifully presented. The funicular was a great way to get your bags up to the apartment. Such a beautiful place with a picturesque view, the rooms are fresh, comfortable and well decorated. The manager and staff were friendly and eager to help. What an amazing experience, with aromatic lavender growing next to the stairs and a funicular, for those who don't want to take the stairs. I would love to visit this place again!

A place in thyme is a beautiful, very private and spacious, fully equipped accommodation with excuisite views of the ocean and mountains. It is nestled into the mountain on a quiet and safe cul de sac. It has a fabulous fun ground cable car lift to take up yourselves, luggage, shopping, babies and prams, grannies and grandpas and back down. There are stairs for the more fitter guests. Linda, our host, took very good care of us during our 10 day stay. A place in thyme is perfectly situated to visit all the places in CT. We will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Small Thyme and found it very convenient, very comfortable and spotless. The hosts were very welcoming, the bed was super cosy and the apartment is well equipped. The view of False Bay is beautiful. Shopping in Sun Valley is really convenient and access to the beach in Fish Hoek is easy and golf courses are close by. There are also lots of good restaurants close-by in Simon's Town, Kalk Bay and St. James. There is a small kitchenette in the apartment with a barbecue area outside on the lawn. This is the perfect place to stay to use as a base when touring the area which is simply stunning! We cannot wait to return!
